A Night to Remember: The 2025 Masquerade Art Gala

On October 10th, the Restored Connections Peer Center hosted its annual Masquerade Art Gala, a stunning celebration of creativity, recovery, and community. This year’s theme — “The Beauty of Art in Recovery” — reminded us that healing often begins with self-expression, and that art continues to be a powerful bridge between hope and connection.

The evening brought together people from all walks of recovery to share laughter, stories, and inspiration — all while dressed in their finest attire and elegant masks. The energy in the room was electric; you could feel the pride, confidence, and joy radiating from every guest.

Celebrating Art and Recovery

The event featured a powerful lineup of artists and performers who embodied the heart of recovery through their work. Our keynote speaker, Skyler Ray, set the tone with his moving redemption story — sharing how he used his rap and spoken word to overcome his darkest moments, finding refuge and healing through his music. His message resonated deeply with the audience, reminding us that creativity can be both a lifeline and a form of liberation.

Guests were also treated to performances and displays from local painters, woodworkers, glass blowers, and makers of hand-crafted instruments — each piece telling a story of perseverance and renewal. Together, their art illuminated the resilience and beauty that flourish within the recovery community.

Community Support and Gratitude

The response from our community was nothing short of overwhelming. We were humbled by the generosity of our sponsors, artists, and attendees who helped make the night an unforgettable success. Together, we not only raised essential funds to support our recovery community center but also created a night that symbolized what recovery truly looks like — beautiful, strong, and united.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on the magic of this year’s Gala, we’re filled with gratitude for every person who helped make it possible. The funds raised will directly support the individuals we serve — helping to expand our art programs, housing initiatives, and peer support services.

At Restored Connections, we believe that recovery is more than survival — it’s rediscovering who we are and celebrating every step forward. Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us continue this work.
