Restored Connections Peer Center(RCPC) is proud to announce the expansion of our training program with the launch of our Annual Training Schedule at the Annex Beginning January 2026, we will offer in-Person peer- focused training every month, designed to strengthen Oregon’s peer workforce and address the evolving educational needs within the peer field.

RCPC Work Placement Program

At Restored Connections Peer Center, we take pride in preparing individuals for meaningful, long-term careers in the recovery and behavioral health fields. Our Work Placement Program offers up to 6 months of on-the-job training, equipping participants with both professional experience and personal growth opportunities.

Hands-On Learning and Real-World Experience

Participants engage in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Coordinating drop-in services and connecting individuals to community resources

  • Completing outreach requirements and engaging in street-based peer work

  • Representing RCPC at tabling events and community activities

  • Leading recovery support groups

  • Assisting in the facilitation of Peer Support Specialist (PSS) training

Professional Development

Through direct supervision and guided experience, participants receive:

  • Coaching in professional communication, email etiquette, and professional and community interactions

  • Continuous feedback and guidance in trauma-informed, person-centered supervision

  • Exposure to strengths-based service delivery and the expectations of the behavioral health field

  • Mentorship in ethical standards, boundaries, and recovery leadership

  • Opportunities to begin the CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) process, including 710 covered clinical supervision hours completed under Restored Connections Peer Center

Education and Credentialing
  • Completion of the 40-hour Adult Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) and Adult Addictions Peer Support (PSS) Training

  • Credentialing support, including guidance through appeal processes if needed

Career Pathways 

Participants of our Work Placement Program receive:

  • A strong letter of reference highlighting their dedication and skill development

  • Coordination with community partners for employment placement

  • Ongoing support to ensure a seamless transition into full-time positions in the recovery workforce
