RCPC’s Set Aside Clinics: Supporting Second Chances in Lane County

Restored Connections Peer Center (RCPC) has teamed up with a coalition of partners—including Public Defender Services of Lane County, the City of Eugene and Lane Workforce Partnership—to host recurring Set Aside Clinics. The mission of these clinics is to help individuals in Lane County overcome the lasting barriers of a criminal record, empowering them to more fully participate in their communities with access to meaningful employment, housing, healthcare, and peer support.

About the Set Aside Clinics

Having a criminal record can severely limit a person’s opportunities—even years after they’ve completed their sentence. RCPC’s Set Aside Clinics aim to address that by helping eligible individuals seal (or “set aside”) past convictions from their record.

In partnership with local legal aid organizations, volunteers, and community supporters, these clinics provide:

● Free legal assistance to determine eligibility and guide participants through the process.

● Peer navigation to connect individuals with ongoing support and recovery resources.

● Resource referrals to services like housing, job training, healthcare, and behavioral health.

● On-site support for those needing help completing paperwork or accessing online systems.

These clinics are offered regularly in Lane County and are open to all individuals looking to remove legal barriers and move forward.
